Routed across the actual taxiway network in your X-Plane installation, including your add-on scenery. If a taxiway is not in your airport, it will never be in your clearance.
RogerATC replaces the simulator's built-in air traffic control with a controller you work by voice, in English or Spanish, on push-to-talk. It reads your own aerodrome data: the stand you are on, the taxiway you are using, the surface wind, the transponder code it assigned you and every clearance it has already issued. Each transmission is rendered from phraseology a person wrote — the language model reads what you said, and never writes what the controller says.

The AI reads what you said. It never writes what the controller says. Every transmission comes from a template with a source cited on it — which is the difference between a training tool and a toy.
Written from Spanish-language sources, with regional variants. An Argentine controller says “ruede a punto de espera”, not the longer Americas form — and now so does yours.
It greets you once, not every time you key the microphone. It leaves out the QNH it already gave you. Tell Ground where you are and Tower still asks — because they are different people.
The tower sequences you in the circuit before you ask. Other aircraft are heard working the same frequency, in their own voices — audible, and never something you are told to follow.
A code with your clearance, and then somebody actually looking at it. Wrong four digits, transponder still in standby on the runway, IDENT pressed — all of it noticed and answered.
Your voice goes to the AI provider you chose, or nowhere at all. It never passes through us — there is no server of ours in the path, and there is no code path that could put one there.
The heavy work happens in a separate process. If the AI pipeline ever falls over, your flight does not — and the frame-time budget it is allowed inside X-Plane is a third of a millisecond.
The ATIS speaks the weather you are actually flying in. Prefer the real report? It reads the METAR your simulator downloaded, or fetches and caches one for the fields ahead of you.
This is the single most important decision in the product, and it is the reason you can trust what you hear. A language model left to improvise will invent a taxiway, a runway, or an altitude — confidently, and in perfect radio English. So it is not allowed to write anything at all.
The same clearance, at the same airport, in the two languages RogerATC speaks. Neither was translated from the other, and the Argentine wording was taken from a real communication rather than from a dictionary.

Every figure in those answers was computed from the simulator's own state or read from your aerodrome data. Where no calculation exists, the instructor says so rather than producing a plausible number.
A second push-to-talk, keyed to the cabin intercom rather than the radio. Question it on the aircraft you are operating, the observed weather, the airspace ahead, the aerodrome you are routing to, or the clearance you have just been issued. It answers from the simulator's own state and from deterministic calculation.
A real frequency is never silent. Other aircraft call for start-up, read back a taxi instruction, report downwind and are cleared to land, and the ramp vehicle asks to cross a taxiway — all of it while you wait your turn. RogerATC puts that traffic on your frequency, so learning to fit into a conversation is part of the exercise rather than something you meet for the first time on a real radio.

An offline-first electronic flight bag, installed as a progressive web application on iPhone, iPad, Android and any modern browser. It plans on the ground and operates in flight with no connectivity at all. It is a product in its own right, built on the same principles, and it is not an accessory to the plugin.
Nothing is invented and nothing is bundled. The plugin reads your own X-Plane installation and, where you allow it, a small number of declared services. The EFB resolves every capability through a provider registry, so the source of any figure can always be named.
Speech recognition, language and speech synthesis run through whichever provider you configure. Weather is read from the simulator first and fetched only when it has none. Winds aloft and how busy the real sky is around you are optional, each behind your own key. Aerodromes, runways, taxiways, frequencies, procedures and airspace come from your own installation and are never redistributed.

Eighteen declared external providers across weather, NOTAM, aerodrome data, airspace, terrain, imagery and traffic, resolved one per capability so two sources never disagree unattributed. Argentine and South American sources are ordered first, with global services as the fallback, and every cached value records which provider produced it.

Keys are held in the operating system keychain on your own machine and travel only to the provider you chose. They are never proxied, stored or transmitted through us. Selecting a local model removes the network from the loop entirely.
With a local language model on Apple Silicon and the simulator's own weather, the plugin needs no network connection at all.
We sell the software, not the tokens. You connect your own AI provider key and pay that provider directly for what you use — or run the whole thing locally on Apple Silicon and pay nothing per hour at all. Whatever happens to us, the copy on your machine keeps working.
A licence you buy once. It does not expire, it does not phone home to stay alive, and if you never give us another cent it carries on doing exactly what it did the day you bought it.
Bring a key from the AI provider you already use and pay them directly — no markup, because we never touch the transaction. Or pick a local model and take the internet out of the loop entirely.

Any competitor billing monthly must carry your inference cost, which means routing your voice through their infrastructure. That is the trade this product declines, and it is why there is no subscription and why your audio never passes through us.
There is nothing to download yet. RogerATC is being flown and refined, and it will be released when it is correct rather than on a date. What follows is what installation will involve.
It writes into your X-Plane plugins folder and nowhere else. Deleting that one folder removes it completely.
Paste a provider key into a window the plugin itself draws — it goes into your system keychain. Or choose a local model and skip this entirely.
Two keys or two buttons on your yoke: one for the radio, one for the intercom. Set them in X-Plane's own keyboard settings.
